poem ~ second chance

Oh to be given a second chance
to not expect perfection 
and withhold forgiveness.

Oh to be given a second chance
to love in everything
through practicing of this act.

Oh to be given a second chance
to not hold onto anger
fully embracing the compassionate.

Oh to be given a second chance
to let go grudges
and believe in resilience.

Oh to be given a second chance
to love beyond hope
and not stay in the dance of regret.

Oh to be given a second chance
to learn from the past
not letting encouragement lapse.

Oh to be given a second chance
to choose grace 
and give more than you can't.

Oh to be given a second chance
when others place limits
in the first glance.

Oh to be given a second chance
to connect the souls
making the boundaries collapse.

Oh to be given a second chance
the heart of the message
brings benefits to the max.
