poem ~ your shoes

I wonder what would happen
if I walked in your shoes?
Would it change my perspective
or would it maybe change your view?

I wonder what would happen
if I lived in your shoes?
Would I be happier then
or confused would I be too?

I wonder what would happen
if I looked at your shoes?
Would I see a glass slipper
or worn leather with your toe showing through?

I wonder what would happen
if I didn't judge your shoes?
Would I apologize again
or just grace abundantly extend?

I wonder what would happen
if I just considered your shoes?
Would I be inspired in my walk
or would your story simply be talk?
