poem ~ relating to life

I want to read the poem 
and hear what you have to say,
But I'm afraid I can't read it 
for it's what I face everyday.

I want to read the poem 
because what you write is so real,
Yet at the same time it captures all the pain 
I many times really feel.

I want to read the poem 
because they touch upon my soul,
And make me feel somehow 
at home this world I don't really know.

I want to read the poem
you capture every day,
For they bring energy to the things 
I wish I had the nerve to say.

I want to read the poem
as it makes me feel alive,
In spite of all the things I feel 
and how I want to run and hide.

I want to read the poem 
because I relate to you,
The way you write the words
and positive impact it creates on my day.

I want to read the poem
and become fearless in all I do,
But I wonder if that's really possible 
even when you tell me it is true.
