poem ~ Thank You

Today I say thank you
to my spiritual life coach
For triggering me deep
and causing me to use the telescope.

Today I say thank you
for making me dive in the waters deep
When last week all I wanted
was to say fuck you all week.

Today I say thank you
for making me hate what you said
And for all the tears that I cried
sending me down this journey that you led.

Today I say thank you
for not giving up on me
And showing me the path
of life that I can have abundantly.

Today I say thank you
for helping me to see
A part of my soul
that was hiding from me.

Today I say thank you
for showing love to me
And a perspective from God
of more freedom through questioning these.

Today I say thank you
for giving me the tools
To look inside really deep
at the story in a new version of repeat.

Today I say thank you
for the skills that you have
To help me let go
of these lies that I still have.

Today I say thank you
not because the pain is all gone
But because I believe
in the process of becoming undone.

Today I say thank you
for the truth that you share
For it’s a layer onion process
to get to the sweet spot in there.
