poem ~ a pile of curls

A pile of curls
there on the floor
Because she was tired
of the length growing out more.

She needed it shorter
like it used to be too,
As she's gotten accustomed to it
not being longer anymore it's true.

So yes she cuts it
all by herself,
It's one of the ways 
she stays in budget these days.

For years she had it
way past her waist,
But she can't take it anymore
and the feeling it creates. 

So back to the chin
she cut it again,
To add some more sass
to her face with a grin.

Don't tell her you like it
the ways it was before, 
Because she doesn't care
what you want my dear. 

She lived 37 Years
doing what everyone said,
And it's time now she lives 
her own happy life instead!

poem ~ my Dad

Dear Dad
I want you to know,
That I think about you sometimes
when I'm walking this road.

When I see a little girl
alone with her dad,
I wonder what that would have been like
to have a Dad who wanted me bad.

To be able to hear your story
and look into your eyes,
And learn what life was like for you
when you were just my size.

To hear you talk of other things 
not just Bible Stories and such theologies,
Like how you came to be this man
and what made you become who you am.

I'll never be able 
to hold those things dear,
But it doesn't stop me
from wondering about them each year.

When I see pictures 
that everyone posts,
Every Father's Day Holiday 
on Social Media the most.

It's not an option 
for me in my life,
But I'll always consider it
when I look at Father's Day thru my eyes.

Some don't understand
how you can move on with no regret,
But when you realize everyone has a choice
you quit expecting what you can't get.

When you see how someone else
controlled how you live,
It makes you have pity
and becomes easier to forgive.

Because I know
really deep down,
You were were a miserable man
simply trying not to drown.

If only you could have seen
other options to live, 
Then maybe you wouldn't have died
a lonely man deep inside.

I really believe 
you truly wanted more,
But you didn't know how
to live life beyond the wife you adored. 

You let her control you
and tell you what to do,
Like you were a child 
who was still only two. 

I can only imagine
how hard it was for you then,
When everything you wanted
was taken from your decisions.

Maybe this is a reason
why I've become so passionate about mine,
Helping others to create
what they intentionally want for their life. 

I'll always love you 
because you're my Dad,
Even if you weren't 
what other little girls had.

poem ~ keep the vision

Dear Child,
I showed you what life was
for 33 years,
And that even I had
moments in tears.

I walked through the hills
and along the same road
all alone in the dark,
Taking time to pray
for everything on my heart.

I stuck up for truth
and got up each day
and fought my way through the crowds,
Even when they wanted
to take me away.

I kept sharing the message
given to me each day
no matter the outcome,
Even when my circle
denied me somehow.

I kept on my mission
knowing the Father's vision
to have hope in every season,
Yet in the midst of it all
I had to answer the call.

Every day I would spread love
and a reason for hope
healing those that had faith,
And leaving those
that thought it was a joke.

It won't be any different
in life for you
as you travel this road too,
So stay encouraged and press on again
knowing I'll be with you until the end.

the absolute genius 
that you be? 

Why do you keep 
your talents down under 
when everyone around you 
is waiting for them to be discovered? 

What will it take 
for you to see 
that you are totally gifted 
with that ability? 

Why do you not feel 
that you're completely okay 
just as you are 
right where you are? 

What will it take 
for you to believe 
the gifts that you have 
are one in a million lad? 

Why do you focus 
on all the challenges you have 
when we can do this together 
no matter the weather? 

What will it take 
for you to see 
the perfect genius 
that you are to me?

poem ~ I wanna sleep

Some days when I crawl in bed 
there's just too many thoughts 
running around in my head.

Just when I think I might get to sleep 
my body decides
to just skip that beat.

How can I be so utterly tired
and my body not listen
to what it really desires?

What will it take to create the shift 
to release all the things 
keeping me occupied by it?

Some days I think I have figured it out 
and other days it becomes clear 
I'm still stuck in my doubts.

So as I lay here and reflect 
on what matters the most
I'm filled with gratitude that you're apart of it.

As you live out your days
please promise me you'll stay,
Truly in focus
on what's the most noticed.

For it's not what you think

For what people connect with

that we each can give,
A smile or word of hope
and a hug to help someone cope.

to make a difference in time,
Yet the results are abundant
when I stop and give mine.

I want to be a pearl
as I live out God's plan,
Fully committed to the task
no matter the outcome at hand.

I want to be a diamond
as I reflect your light,
Knowing that this only comes
when extreme pressure becomes out of sight.

I want to be worth more than gold
because I know deep down,
The cost that someone paid for my soul
can't be reproduced in another mould.

I want to be sparkling like silver
as I behold the true depths of its beauty, 
When my character becomes known
even in the conflict of duty.

I want to shine bright
every day of my life,
As I with courage stay strong
another day in this fight.

I want to be bold
even in the refining process,
Never afraid to stand out 
in my uniqueness of purpose.

poem ~ roller coaster ride

When you're on a roller coaster 
it seems forever before you get to ride,
But the truth is that your turn will come
and before you know it you'll be racing along beside.

When you're on a roller coaster
and the ride goes up and down,
You wonder if you'll ever see
the view to those in town.

When you're on a roller coaster
sometimes you just have to hold your breath,
Because if you even dare to breathe
you'd lose it completely in the breeze.

When you're on a roller coaster
you can't ever look down,
For if you see how far above you are up
you'll only want to get down.

When you're on a roller coaster 
and you suddenly go up,
As soon as you feel the adjustment 
you'll be headed down like a runaway truck.

When you're on a roller coaster 
and riding the exciting turns,
Sometimes you feel like you're gonna get sick
and it's not the best adrenaline fix.

When you're on a roller coaster 
no matter how short or long the ride, 
The expectation of the experience 
is half the fun of it every time.

When you're on a roller coaster 
the best thing you can do,
Is to enjoy the moment
because it will be over quickly too.

When you're on a roller coaster 
and you feel it will never end,
It's just an illusion 
because they all do my friend.

When you're on a roller coaster 
you can make memories for life,
Or you can let it destroy
every aspect of all things nice.

When you're on a roller coaster 
and the ride seems to get out of hand,
Remember that it's just for a moment
and it will come screeching to an end.

When you're on a roller coaster 
make sure you're buckled in,
Because even though the ride is short 
I don't wanna loose you dear Friend.

and it feels a lot like life,
Remember that it's a choice 
as to what you focus on in the ride.

I am a child
and I want to learn to walk,
So I make it my aim
even before I can talk.

I am a child
and I want to be like you,
And go and do
all the things that you do.

I am a child
and I wanna be more,
Then just a fifth wheel
to your circle of four.

I am a child
who wants you to be apart of my life,
I don't want to have to consider
everything over twice.

I am a child
and I want to be an adult,
So that I can pretend
that I love this life that I wrote.

I am a child
and I long to be more,
But I never tell myself
that I shouldn't try for more.

I am a child
and my heart just wants to be,
Loved and accepted
for just being me.

I am a child
that was raised to live in fear,
Not knowing that anything different
could ever be near.

I am a child
that has a heart to be loved,
And accepted for more
than the identity hub.

I am a child
even at my very core,
As I search to live this life
authentically settling for more.

If you could see
beyond your pain today 
I promise you would know 
that it was all working for your good 
and a wonderful life you would grow. 

If you could see
beyond your pain today 
and the hurtful words you said 
you'd feel it was such a petty thing 
to block a friend instead. 

If you could see 
beyond your pain today 
and look into the eyes 
of the person that loves you so 
it would only make you cry. 

If you could see 
beyond your pain today 
the options that you have 
you wouldn't react this way 
when true love is the answer key. 

If you could see 
beyond your pain today 
at the choices that you've made 
you see the benefits 
totally outweigh the pain. 

If you could see

and look at your blessings friend 
I know your perspective would change 
with the abundance that they show.

A true friend will talk to you

No a true friend will be glad

A true friend is one
who remembers to tend,
To the things that matter most
for connections to begin.

who values her heart,

I don't want fake Friends
so if that's you,
Please unfriend me
to help us both remain true.

who don't wanna be in my life,

that everything's alright.

that aren't motivated by love,
To repair every hurt
that was caused by someone.

I don't want fake Friends
that are afraid to share,
What's going on
in their hearts deepest care.

I don't want fake Friends
that say that they love you,
But do nothing to support
and encourage you too.

I don't want fake Friends
who are intimidated by me,
When I'm just living the purpose
God called me to be.

I don't want fake Friends
who are afraid to be real,
And live behind a mask
acting like life is sureal.

who say they believe in love,
But do nothing to live it
when conflict becomes the rub.

who honest they can't be,
Living a life
that's afraid to be free.

I'd like to do something
different I think,
Like make money painting
and writing poems in ink.

Maybe even Financial Debt Coaching
for those desiring to change,
And live a life of abundance 
not in fear of how to pay for things.

I wanna have a life
of living everything in fun,
Because it's a choice
of how I live this one run.

I'm done fighting with insurance 
every day of my life,
And playing the games
of the medical billing claim rights.

It's been 20 Years 
I think it's time for something new, 
I just have to figure out
how to make this come true.

I love my clients
yet it isn't what it seems,
Working with people 
who have debt splitting at the seams.

Life shouldn't be
a horrific fight, 
Just to make the most
of having a great life.

I never would have dreamed
I'd think of doing something different,
But the negative energy
is what it isn't. 

I get do many things
that I like to do,
How do you decide
which ones for you?

You tell me
if anyone can handle this
it would be you,
For you have more guts
then two people put together
it's true.

Do you think
this consoles me
or makes me feel like I have a plan?
When this is the last thing 
I wanted
in this entrepreneurship clan.

You think just because
I value insight and courage
to forge straight ahead, 
That that means life 
is simply just easy
to stay out of the red.

I get your perspective 
I honestly do

poem ~ it's your life

I don't have the talent
that you do,
So it makes me back away
because I feel less than you.

I feel so ordinary
and completely inept,
When it seems talent just oozes
from your every step.

How can you be so gifted?
And do it all so well,
When I'm trying so hard
just to live through this spell.

You make it look easy
and completely effortless to do,
When I struggle so much
just to do the basic routine thru.

Yet part of me is slightly
inspired and intrigued it's true,
To find the passion within
and attempt to learn something new.

I don't know how you do it
continually facing all your fears,
When I just feel like they're living
so strong occuping inside my head.

If you could tell me
one thing I could do,
To change my life
and live abundantly like you.

What would you say
to make headway today?
As I live out my life
in the various of ways.

It all starts with a choice
to create the life that you want,
You must truly desire
to take action to become unstuck.

You can't live in regret
or stay paralyzed in fear,
You have to be willing to change your foundation
not just attempt to create repair.

You have to be willing
to do the deep hard work,
It won't be easy
and it will feel sometimes worse.

But the benefits over time
that come from a change from within,
I promise you'll never think about it twice
when you see the benefits begin.
