poem ~ you're a genius

What would it take 
for you to see 
the absolute genius 
that you be? 

Why do you keep 
your talents down under 
when everyone around you 
is waiting for them to be discovered? 

What will it take 
for you to see 
that you are totally gifted 
with that ability? 

Why do you not feel 
that you're completely okay 
just as you are 
right where you are? 

What will it take 
for you to believe 
the gifts that you have 
are one in a million lad? 

Why do you focus 
on all the challenges you have 
when we can do this together 
no matter the weather? 

What will it take 
for you to see 
the perfect genius 
that you are to me?
